Activities
Sensory Room

Sensorial experiences develop our children’s senses as they have a physical and emotional desire to see, hear, touch, smell, and taste the things around them. We have observed how sensory exploration enhances cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral development.
Our sensory room provides a calm, immersive environment where children can explore light, colour, sound and texture in a gentle and purposeful way. It supports children’s regulation, attention and curiosity while offering opportunities for communication, creativity and self‑expression.
Here’s why sensory rooms are amazing:
- Stimulate the brain
- Support early learning
- Encourage curiosity
- Help children unwind
- Create rich opportunities for observation
Activities
Mindfulness
Our mindfulness sessions give children the chance to slow down, breathe and explore calmness in a fun and age‑appropriate way.
Mindfulness activities may include:
- Simple breathing exercises
- Guided relaxation
- Listening games
- Stretching and gentle movement
- Nature and sensory‑based calm time
These sessions are designed to help children recognise their emotions, build healthy habits and feel more in control of their bodies and minds.
Activities
Local Farm Trip

Our visit to the local farm gives children the opportunity to explore the natural world first‑hand. Through hands‑on experiences, conversations with farmer and observing real animals and crops, children gain valuable understanding across many areas of learning. Children observe animals in their natural environment and explore seasons, growth, and changes in nature. It further encourages care and respect for animals and nature.
Activities
Forest School
Forest School enriches children’s learning in ways that cannot be replicated indoors. Each visit offers opportunities to explore, imagine, collaborate and connect with the nature. Children return from sessions feeling confident, energised and inspired – carrying with them new skills, knowledge and lifelong memories.
Activities vary throughout the year depending on the season and children’s interests and include:
- Mud kitchen play and water exploration
- Searching for worms, snails, insects, and signs of wildlife
- Playing natural musical instruments
- Creating nature crowns, wands, conker comets and bird feeders
- Chalk drawing, nature art and imaginative woodland play
- Scavenger hunts for leaves, insects and natural items
- Feeding ducks and learning to identify different bird species
- Story sessions, group discussions and moments of calm reflection
Children also enjoy simple but memorable outdoor moments such as walking through the woods, jumping in puddles, and sharing healthy snacks outdoors.
