Our Curriculum
Learning, Growing and
Discovering Together
At Muhammadi Nursery, our curriculum goes beyond teaching skills and knowledge. It supports how children learn, how they understand their own learning, and how we as practitioners learn from them. Guided by the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), we ensure equality of opportunity so every child is included, supported and respected. Our curriculum is shaped by children’s interests, regular observations and strong partnerships with parents.
Areas of Learning and Development - EYFS
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding of the World
- Expressive Art and Design
This is achieved by providing children with a safe, secure and stimulating environment where they get the opportunity to prosper. We provide learning through play opportunities for children through a wide range of planned and free play activities both inside and outside. The children also have the opportunities to visit the local area facilities such as local park, local supermarket, farm etc.
Ofsted Report 2025:
“Leaders have designed an ambitious curriculum for all children. It is planned to continually build and enhance children’s skills in preparation for their next stage of development and readiness for school”
“Interactions with children are positive. Staff get down to children’s level when speaking to them and make good eye contact. They provide a narrative to children’s play, encouraging back and forth conversations and introducing new vocabulary. Additionally, staff use children’s home languages to help them to understand the meaning of English words.”
Toddlers
Age 2+
Our toddler room is a hands‑on, sensory space where children learn through play. We use music, movement, audio‑visual resources and tactile activities to support early communication, coordination and confidence.

Preschool
Age 3+
Our preschool room supports children in becoming confident, curious learners, developing key skills through child‑led play, early phonics, maths, outdoor learning and meaningful preparation for school.
